He was feared and revered until one fateful night in 1999 when he killed a man during a no-rules fight. It was supposed to be staged—an exhibition match. Instead, something snapped. Do-won vanished the next day, abandoning a wife and 3-year-old son.Min-jae’s mother, Yoon Hye-jin, was an accomplished cellist, graceful and refined, completely unequipped for the brutal world her husband dragged her into. Shamed by her community and quietly blacklisted in the classical world due to her husband’s infamy, she fell into depression and died of suicide when Min-jae was 10.From there, it was the street or nothing.He was bounced between foster homes and juvenile detention. One caretaker, an ex-gang enforcer named Choi Gwang-il, taught him how to survive—how to fight mean. Gwang-il saw potential in Min-jae and fed him scraps of his father’s fighting style—but warped. Less about honor, more about impact.By 16, Min-jae entered the ring under fake names, just to eat. By 19, he was feared for his cold, silent brutality and his eerie control under pressure.
